Veritas Farms

From the owner: "Veritas Farms is a mixed livestock and vegetable farm located in the Hudson Valley. We farm 100 acres in New Paltz New York, and take an old-fashioned sustainable approach to farming, believing it is our responsibility to work in harmony with nature. Our animals are given free room to roam on open pasture, raised naturally and humanely, always treated with respect and left to reproduce with minimal human intervention. We feel this is the most responsible way to raise healthy, flavorful, humane, and ethical meats.

 

All of our pork, beef and lamb is pasture raised, and all of our beef and lamb is 100% grass fed. None of our animals are ever given preventative antibiotics or growth hormones and none of our meats are ever injected with dyes or tenderizers. All animals are processed at Hilltown Pork in Canaan New York, a family owned, USDA and Certified Humane facility."

Greenane Farms

From the owner: "Greenane Farms is a diversified family farm producing great quality wholesome and healthy food from the plants and animals we grow and raise. Located in the town of Meredith, NY in the western Catskill Mountains, we farm nearly 1000 acres of lush hayfields and pastures raising Angus Beef, Heritage Pork, Quail, Sheep, Goats, Heritage Turkey, Sasso Chickens, and Bullfrogs.

The Chickens at Greenane Farms:

At Greenane Farms we grow Sasso Chickens. Developed in France, Sasso chickens are hardy and are able to handle extreme climates. They are easy to breed and extremely healthy.  Sasso chickens are free-range and require ample space to roam and feed. They are best known for the high quality of their meat.  The chickens are harvested, cut, and packaged all here at the farm."
